Sententia Partners News and Thought Leadership Tips

We had a great second quarter here at Sententia Partners.

One highlight for Sherree DeCovny was attending Nasdaq’s biennial Technology of the Future Conference (ToF) in Stockholm in May. She had a great time meeting up with colleagues from Nasdaq and other exchanges across the world in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. She wrote a couple blogs while she was there covering Day One and Day Two of the conference. Stay tuned for a digital publication of the highlights.

Sherree also published “Getting with the Programmed” in the June 2016 issue of CFA Institute Magazine. In the article, she discussed financial technology trends such as peer-to-peer networks, democratizing big data, changing services models and robo-advisers as well as implications for career planning.

Ken visited the London Wine Fair in the UK, and got an update on the industry’s efforts to improve the exchange of information between trading partners in the highly fragmented wine supply chain. A number of writing projects engaged Ken during the second quarter, including a new ebook on the impact of blockchain technology on supply chains.

Our summer marketing intern, Kieran Cottrill, published a couple blog posts about supply chain – one about predicting demand in sports and the other about space. Kieran has done a great job supporting us in our communications projects, managing our database and finding interesting content to post on social media.

Thought leadership content is a great way to differentiate yourself from your competitors, but it involves a lot of mental effort, organization and commitment. As a first step, we recommend defining your messages and target audience.

Here are a few things to think about:

  • What topics or current events should your company comment on?
  • What is your viewpoint, and how does it differ from others?
  • Who is interested in what you have to say, and why?
  • What can you tell your audience that they don’t already know?

Need someone to help you focus? We do that.
